“Good food but still room to improve!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

Table according to booking. Starters very good, main course needs improvement.

Tables very close to each other, listening to each others conversation and disturbing the atmosphere.

Good service but not great as it supposed to be. Prices on average and location very relaxing.

“Beautiful view”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2013 via mobile

It's a very nice restaurant, the inside tables are more comfortable, specially if you are a non smoker. The food is amesing!! The wine list is very reasonable, with good options, and the staff is impeccable !the view is great, it is almost at the sea! I certainly recommend it!!

“Great food, nice location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2013

Pros:
- fresh fish
- reasonable prices
- top to floor windows overlooking the water.
- nice setting
Cons:
- maybe the only thing is that they (like many other places in Porto), will give you "welcome" drinks (like a glass of champagne), or bread with tuna Pâté, or olives....and they will charge every item, even though you didn't request it.

“Excellent luncheon venue in Porto.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2013

A little hard to find, tucked below the boardwalk along Foz do Douro. You'll probably walk past it a couple times before you find it...

We thoroughly enjoyed our luncheon experience here. The cuisine features fresh local seafood, expertly prepared, in a more international style (traditional Portuguese is not served here). The seared tuna salad was lovely; the grilled skate main course was exquisite. Pasta with clams was very accomplished. They offer a sushi menu, but, we thought it wise to stick to their main menu.

Wine list features mostly affordable Portuguese wines, vino verde to start, with whites and reds available by the glass or bottle. Service here is refined, like the minimal interiors, smooth all around, polished, professional. Make sure you get a reservation for lunch/dinner, as this place is popular, especially, on weekends.

“best place for dining out in Porto”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2013

We went around Porto looking for good restaurants with poor luck, even if supported by different guides; then, being Sunday our last day in Porto, we had to rely on our hotel manager for the dinner. The result was the Shis and honestly I could not even think of something better. The atmosphere is amazing, the service is great and comparable to other places in the World (i.e. South East Asia, definitely better than Portuguese standards), the food was absolutely tasty as well as the wine. Prices are reasonable if compared against what you eat (quality and meals). So I'm surprised of previous reviews; based on my experience it's worthwhile to go there. Summary: best place for dining out in Porto
