The hotel is located in fairly quiet surroundings close to the stadium of football club Boavista FC.
The check-in went smoothly and the staff made you feel genuinely at home. The hotel grounds are well-maintained and leave a very trendy impression - especially at the lobby, in the snack bar and the restaurant. The breakfast buffet at the restaurant is surely above average - offering different kinds of juices, yogurt and cereal, different kind of breads and cakes as well as coffee and tea. It's surely possible to get a great start of the day food-wise!
The rooms are nice too - but I guess what you pay for. The smaller rooms appear quite small, but there's room to squeeze in a small table and chairs making workable as a workstation. The bathroom offer standard amenities and the minibar is loaded with the usual (overpriced) stuff. There's no complementary water and there's no possibility of making your own coffee or tea. However, this is possible if you're ready to pay what seems to be an upcharge of 35 EUR. In such cases, you seem to get a bunch of other "deals" within the bargain.
There seems to be enough electricity outlets in the room and the WIFI connection seemed to work well.

The biggest disappointment was surely the so-called gym, which - by the way - is open 24 hours. It merely consists of a threadmill, a cross trainer a bike and a work-out and rather small multi-gym allowing you to do a bit of weight-training. However, in reality, it's useless. On a small positive note, it's worth mentioning that the gym offers towels and water free of charge.
Would I come back? Maybe, but ONLY if I don't plan/have time to use the gym. It's simply not matching the standard of the hotel, so I'd look for other options in the same area with a real gym.More
