We spotted this restaurant within the Carris hotel as it was near our hotel, the Pestana.
It is much more upmarket than the other restaurants in the area, at least those we could find, but more international so may not fit the bill if you are looking for something more Portugese with a riverside view. But by this time in our holiday I was looking for a change from grilled cod and boiled potatoes so was pleased to have something more upmarket and delighted to come upon this place. The chef is clearly very talented and everything was beautifully prepared, cooked and presented. The amuse bouche were nice and the dessert plate of 5 mini desserts especially delicious. Service was very good and the waiter happy to suggest wine which we were very pleased with.
