“Huge!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 7, 2014

We just ate at this restaurant and I'm feeling like I'm literally going to explode! We took the garlic shrimps and Smoked ham plate as starters, and servings were really generous. We then decided to take the "Bacalhau gratinado" for 2. The waiter arrived with a huge plate and we were quite already stuffed with the starters. I think this could have fed at least three starving people! This meal was really tasty though.

The young waiter speaks flawless english (He's obviously from UK) and the older one doesn't speak really good english but he is lovely and funny.

We drank the house wine, which was a bit disappointing but the waiter offered me to taste it before ordering a bottle but we wanted to try it out (we should have taste it first...)

The bill was about 40€ which is really cheap for the quantity/quality. I would definitely recommend this restaurant but you have to be really hungry!

“Excellent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2014

I’m a regular costumer and all over these years it keeps not disappointing me. Specially the wonderful “Bacalhau com Gambas” and “Bifinhos com Cogumelos”. I also have to recommend the desert “Delícia de Bolacha”.
Anyway, from the normal daily menus at lunch time to the rest of their dishes I’ll always give it 5*.
Keep going!

“Delicious meal at extremely reasonable price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2013

We ate in this restaurant after having checked TripAdvisor for recommended restaurants in Porto. Not a bad choice at all!
Reservation : better to book since there are not many places and there are many people happy to eat there.
Location: check it on the map, since it is not for sure in the city centre.
Meals: we chose tuna pate, vegetables and seafood soup, codfish and octupus, and for the dessert we chose a sort of tiramisu to share & coffees. For wine, we listened to the recommendation made by our waiter.
Price: all of the above plus some water was 41 Euros, one of the cheapest dinners had so far!
The restaurant is very cosy. Our waiter spoke English fairly good and was very careful to all our requests.
Therefore, if you are looking for authentic Portuguese food, this is the place to be.
Enjoy the good food & wine!

“Excellent restaurant!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 9, 2013

I have been in this fantastic restaurant during a very nice week-end in Porto. Everything was perfect. Despite the location and the entrance itself, that is absolutely ordinary, the dishes are simply delicious. Genuine portuguese cuisine. Don't miss the "mejillones gratenados" (don't remember how to say it in portuguese), the "pulpo grillado" and their absolutely fantastic version of "fish and chips". I particularly recommend the chips! A couple of words on the desert too: they prepare a wonderful cream with cookies! You have to try it if you visit Porto!
