Description: “Pedro Lemos” is one of Oporto’s most renowned restaurants. The chef ’s originality stands in a pleasantlysurprising contrast to the typical Portuguese flavors,so as to present the clients with unique and unforgettableculinary experiences, turning each meal into an“urban safari”. Located in Foz, one of Oporto’s mostbeautiful and emblematic historical neighborhoods, therestaurant’s venue is a building deemed of architecturalsignificance. It was first inaugurated in 1964 as a Britishinspiredpub that became a place of choice of that time’selites. At Pedro Lemos you can explore different spacesand ambiances, always exquisite and comfortable. The specialty of the restaurant are the seasonal tasting menus. The wine selection is carefully sourced, the service is impeccable.

“Truly Outstanding”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 11, 2014

We visited this outstanding restaurant on our third evening in Porto and we were so impressed that we returned the next evening, our last. We had the three course menu with paired wines. Before the starter we were delighted first by a white port cocktail, followed by two 'amuse bouches'. Between the main and the dessert we were presented with a 'pre-dessert'. Each course and 'extra' was superb and the wines perfect; exquisitely presented and wonderful in flavour. On the second visit the chef even designed a new dessert for us because there only two desserts on the menu and between us we had had both of them on our first visit. All members of staff were attentive, informative, and genuinely friendly. The whole experience raised our stay in Porto to exceptional.

“Fantastic! And more!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2014

Went there on our last night in Oporto. Cosy restaurant with excellent service and some Michelin star food ! We chose the 3 course menu with wine pairing which was reasonably priced and portions were more than adequate
Would go again and again... But think they are expecting a Michelin. So go before the prices skyrocket!!

“Outstanding”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 22, 2014

We took the opportunity for an early booking and the whole experience was very special.
Time And place are every thing when you are on holiday. From the welcome at the entrance, ambiance of the dining room, charming service but the quality and creativity of our meals was the star of this visit.
The menu choices made you drool but the taste sensation exceeded our expections with matched wine selections completed the delight.
Frankly this was one of the best meal experiences we have enjoyed anywhere during all of our travels. Thank you Pedro and your excellent team, an evening to remember.......William

“Great food, but small misstakes”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 17, 2014

I have been 4 times to Pedro Lemos in the last years, and I must say the food is still amazing! But it lacks in small details. The staff, although trying really hard, lacks experience, and small misstaken ste made which wheren't made before. Still our 5 course tasting menu was very nice, and the wine pairing good.

“Exquisite - go before the Michelin guys drive the price up...!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2014

This restaurant is heading for a Michelin star, where the price will double. Right now is the time to get in and experience perfect food with great service.

My Fiancee and I ate here a few weeks ago. The staff were attentive, taking coats etc. Their wine list is excellent, and they have a sommelier on hand if you're going for something a bit special.

I ordered the scallops with caviar to start, and for main I took the suckling pig. Both dishes were sensational - the pork crispy, the scallops sweet and the caviar generous.

We had a slight issue when trying to pay, where it took three attempts before I ended up going to front of house. Still, this was the only real hitch in an otherwise memorable dining experience.

Honestly, go and try it out - it's not a Tripadvisor tourist trap - it's a proper fine dining restaurant that can't fail to turn the heads at Michelin HQ.
