Having visited Madeira Island upon several occasions, i had never ventured to it's sister island, Porto Santo. I and two of my children, made the trip last summer. We stayed at the Torre Praia and found it to both exceptional and convenient. It is situated so close to the beach which, having children, is a must. The rooms are quite spacious and the breakfast wonderful for both me and the kids. It was such a fantastic experience that we have booked another stay this summer. There are other accomodations on the island suiting a variety of needs. If you enjoy cooking while on vacation then I would suggest the Luna Mar Aparthotel which is equipped with kitchenettes. I actually considered this hotel but then I thought, cooking? Who wants to cook when their on vacation!!
