absolutely brilliant, it tells it all and really fascinating, have been a couple of times and will certainly want to go again.
At 9.90 euros pp this is a quite pricey visit to what is just a small fairly average museum showing the island history. OK but poor value at near £20 for 2. Do it if you really cant think of anywhere else to go, or its raining !

This is one of those places where if you don't get the time to see it then don't worry, your not missing much.
The information is informative and interesting, but the place is small and it doesn't take long to see it all.
I think if they halved the entrance fee to €5 euros or less then maybe I would rate it more, but for the money they charge there are many other nicer places to see on the Island.

The whole island is absolutely fantastic. Nice people, good food, almos never ending good weather.
The story center museum is not big but very smart designed. It's a good place to learn about Madeira - which is a small but blessed spot of earth.
