After a disappointing visit to Belém in Lisbon the next port of call was Funchal. The restaurant we wanted to visit was not open for lunch so we chose this one instead. (It's near the cable car station in Funchal) We had two different plates of very unusual tapas, both of them delicious. Puddings were a delight. Waiting staff were very informative about their menus and knew all about the ingredients. It was such a contrast from the restaurant in Belém and such a pleasure. One of the owners persuaded us to try some local rum instead of brandy after the meal. The day was rounded off by a Tukxi back to the ship and the driver gave a running commentary all the way. Would definitely go back there.
