Good location, easy access to beach,nice breakfast. Not bad SPA, but big pressure after relaxing procedure from therapist side - nice cosmetics, let's buy it now! I'll put it on your room! Next time - your cosmtics waiting for you, take it! it is annoying me and i have to loudly say NO! I don't need it! Why? it is relaxing place and I paid for pleasure! Hotel has 2 wings, left (east) is right on the road and no silence during the night, left (west) is opposit to the construction of Pestana Promenade Hotel. Estimation of the end of the construction - 12/2008. You'll never hear ocean from your room but you'll have an easy and short way to the beach. Side ocean view - it is really side! Teapot in the room and cups are free. Personnel not very friendly but adequate. Exept 1 time when stuff man came into my room while I was in bed after night flight. I didn't unredstand reason. Thay have some facilities for children - playing room, special pool and chairs on restaurant. In general - not bad.

I'm lucky enough to have a job that takes me to Madeira quite frequently and I never tire of the place. My hotel of preference is the Tivoli Madeira. I normally have one of the suites and I must say they are sumptuous. The rooms are large, the bed is the biggest thing I have ever slept in, the decor is a bit bland but clean, the bathroom is a marvel of marble and the private terrace is easily big enough for entertaining a small group or party. The restaurants are good too, as is the breakfast. In short, no complaints, all just right.

I visited Madeira this past August for the second time. I went with my mother and my daughter but I didn`t know the hotel. I was so lucky by choosing Tivoli Ocean Park! I just loved the environment which is superbe and specially the staff and accomodations.I´ve been travelling all around the world for the past 3o years and it was amazing the kind of vacations I could provide my mum ( 94) my daughter(29) and myself. I strongly reccomend this hotel, because it isn´t common to find such nice people, food and accomodation in a pleasant and quite place like this one for the price you pay.

We've stayed one week late august at the Tivoli Madeira, had a very pleasant stay. We decided to upgrade our rooms, and got a couple of nice spacious suites with large terraces viewing the ocean and the resort. Hotell staff very serviceminded, efficient and humorous. Breakfast exellent. Had a couple of lunches at the pool bar, and one evening buffet at the Boca do Cais. Surprisingly good kitchen for a hotel restaurant. Our kids - 11 and 13 - appreciated very much the various facilities s.a. poolarea, pc-room, games, gym etc. and also the staffs friendly attention.

As pointed out by other reviewers there are still building activity on the neighbouring properties. This did not affect us that much, as our rooms were on the 9th floor, sea front. I can imagine though, that guests in rooms on the east and west side must be a bit bothered by the noise throughout the day. Anyway, I guess this will come to and end sometime during this autumn when the nearby constructionsites are finished.

We plan to go back to Madeira next year, and will definetly consider staying at this hotel again.
