We have used this wonderful hotel eight times in the last ten years. For us, it is truly relaxing and so peaceful with super accomodation, great amenities, lovely surroundings and an exceptional staff. And ,yes, we will return this year(2013).

This was our first visit to Madeira and we couldn't have been luckier with our choice of hotel. The quiet, beautiful grounds, excellent rooms and wonderful staff ensured a very good holiday. We went to the restaurant for two dinners and the meals were the best we had on the island (we did try several that featured in the top 20 and none measured up to the hotel restaurant....although it is quite expensive).

No problems parking, plenty of spaces. We will probably return at some stage, plenty to do and see here.

first time away at new year and really enjoyed it hotel had new year gala dinner on newyears eve the food was average but we soon forgot that after seeing the wonderful display of fireworks from the hotels deck bar sipping on champagne overall the hotel is set in a wonderful position overlooking funchal the staff are all very efficient and polite at all times the only thing i would say was they could have promoted there restaraunt a bit more as we ate out every night but i would definately stay at this hotel again as we had a relaxing holiday

We've just returned from spending Christmas and New Year on Madeira and have had a brilliant time, thanks mainly to the high quality of the Quinta da Casa Branca.
This delightfuly small hotel provides a luxurious, peaceful haven within easy walking distance of Funchal centre, but is secluded in beautiful, well managed gardens and therefore feels away from it all.
The level of service is outstanding and the attention to detail means that you can instantly relax.
We had picked up from previous comments on TripAdvisor that 'standard rooms' did not have tea and coffee making facilities, so we came prepared. However, lovely touches such as a complimentary bottle of champagne delivered on ice to our room on my husband's special birthday and a bottle of Madeira and a cake on Christmas Eve made our holiday feel that bit more special.
We booked B & B to enable us to enjoy a variety of restaurants, but the Gala dinners on Xmas Eve and New Year's Eve in the restaurant were wonderful. The second of these started with cocktails and canapes in the open air deck bar and the dinner itself was six courses - a very memorable meal indeed. On the recommendation of a member of staff we saw the wonderful firework display from a viewpoint on the hill above the hotel - a stunning experience indeed.
Buffet breakfasts included a huge range of items, with additional hot dishes such as omelettes, eggs and porridge being available freshly prepared to order.
The reception staff were very helpful and friendly.
Overall this is a fabulous hotel and we recommend it highly.
