The friendliest happiest staff I have ever come across. Everyone was very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The Hotel is situated on a small headland with views over the sea. Pay more for a superior room and it must get better, however we were more than satisfied with our view over the pool and the ocean. Lovely room cleaned daily, everything was spotless. We paid for breakfast and what a breakfast it was! Lots of choice between hot food, cold meats, cheese, bread and fresh fruit salad plus an amazing 180 degree panaramic sea view. Fantastic. The hotel grounds were full of flowers and shrubs all were kept meticulously manicured. Would not hesitate in returning.

My family came for a week for the New Year fireworks, our son's 13th Birthday and a break from work. The hotel is situated right on the cliff with great views overlooking the bay, so you can watch all the boats and liners coming in and out of Funchal from your balcony. The hotel is set in very tidy gardens with large clean bright modern rooms, all with sea views, with an older Colonial building in the grounds accommodating the reception and bar. The buffet breakfast was vast with hot and cold selections too numerous to sample all. The rooms were kept tidy every day and the staff very helpful and efficient. In particular they brought us drinks and a congratulatory letter for my son on his birthday, which we thought was very touching. The pool and surrounding area was kept immaculate, like the rest of the hotel and grounds. It was very peaceful in the hotel and surrounding area, with the background noise of waves gently breaking on the volcanic rock below. Its location is just at the start of the Hotel area in Lido, but closer to the main town of Funchal. I would highly recommend this hotel to couples and families alike. We had a wonderful holiday and loved the island, the people and all we had time to experience.

The staff is nice and very helpfull. Good access to the sea and the view from the apartments is beautyful.
The location of the hotel is good and they have a shuttle to transport the passengers to the center of the island.
