Description: Restaurant Mozart is born of a perfect symphony between Rui Pedro, Renato, the Telesforo and all elements of the orchestra every day color the sound of the strings violin sprawling on the wall beside the great figures of the music classical. This name is a tribute to Madeira restoration. Situated in one of the most emblematic areas of Funchal, the Old Town, the Mozart Restaurant with a decoration taken to detail, in a style reminiscent of the Classical Era, lives an atmosphere, an atmosphere of refinement and yet familiar, with attention to detail and a team that although young is too experienced to play the ninth symphony of Mozart. This signature cuisine specializes in dishes whose essence carries various flavors and aromas in a real world full of colors. This signature cuisine inspired by the regional, national and international cuisine not only conveys to each of our clients sound and harmony, but above all provides strong and emotional palate.

“Restaurante Do Forte, but little cheaper”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2013

We were recommended to try this restaurant and would agree with the good reviews. However visitors to Funchal should be aware that this restaurant and "The Fort" have essentially the same menu although Restaurante Mozart is slightly cheaper (35 euros instead of 39 euros for 3 courses with wine and coffee included) and consequently, in my view, is better value unless the setting of Restaurante Do Forte is important to you. Setting and price apart, everything in my review of Restaurante Do Forte applies equally to Mozarts.

“Amazing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 9, 2013

Good looking food that tasted as good as it looked. The staff was friendly though one of the waiters did pour out some of our wine before it was empty. We we given a new after that, so nothing to complain about.

“A super restaurant.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2013

This is probably the best eating experience I've had. My wife and I ate there twice. (It was recommended to us by a fellow passenger on the flight. (Many thanks Mrs Marshall)) during our 1 week stay in Funchal. The food is great, the staff are soooo friendly particularly the front of house guy, waiters Alex and Vito looked after us royaly. Always go for the "deal" usually around 35 euro including wine. I had an opportunity to meet the chef and his staff and to see the kitchen. How they produce such food from such a small kitchen is remarkable. If you choose this restaurant you will not be disapponted

“Nothing to add”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 6, 2013

I don't think I can add anything to the positive reviews of this restaurant, other than to say, you MUST try it and always make sure you have the "deal". It is a steal for such quality food. Many drinks are included.

“A fun place to dine in Funchal's old town”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 5, 2013

We visited this restaurant twice as we enjoyed the food and the atmosphere so much. The decor is elegant and the service is good. The set menu at €35 is great value as this includes a 5 course meal with wine, water and coffee. The food is expertly cooked and beautifully presented and the octopus carpaccio was to die for!

Mozart (Simon) is a lovely, welcoming host and does his best to make sure everyone's evening is as it should be.
