“Nice but not in late afternoon”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 31, 2014

Try to get there in sunny morning, getting there in cloudy afternoon and after Your trip to levadas - it is not the best idea! You should to know that counter (casa) will close 1 hour before closing time. Take with Your camera with macro lens!

“Steep, unexciting after Monte Gardens which are better, cafe very basic”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 30, 2014

It doesn't compare well to the Monte Gardens which are much more varied and better laid out, although there are more cacti at the botannical

“Nice in January must be beautiful in Spring”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2014

Enjoyed exploring here despite not much in bloom. The tapestry garden is lovely all year round and well worth seeing.

“Some colour in January”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2014

A pleasant visit but do not expect the gardens to be full of colour in January. A decent coffee/snack area but should be better.

“Lots of plants...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2014

Great place if you like plants. In the winter time it wasn't anything special really... I think that it would be much better in the summer. We'd took a taxi here from our hotel. The taxi offered two-way ride + waiting time for 40 euros, but we passed the offer. Coolest way to get here is by the cable cars. Some café and some shops.
