Lovely food and a very friendly owner + family. The price are good and it's open for breakfast, lunch, in between and dinner. We go to Funchal twice a year and have most of our meals in this restaurant. We just love it.

We were visiting the Barracuda before Dino and Luisa took over and have continued to be regular customers ever since. Every time we visit Funchal we make a bee-line for the Barracuda and have enjoyed breakfasts, lunches and evening meals. The food is good and plentiful (I can never finish a whole plate) and the prices are competitive. We have recently returned home but really look forward to our next visit.

We love this little restaurant because it serves excellent food at reasonable prices and nothing is too much trouble for the owners, Dino and Luisa. Our particular favourite is Friday evening, when the restaurant is usually heaving with people and it's advisable to book. We always seem to end up making new friends on these occasions. The special fish and chips is better than anything we have EVER tasted in the UK. On our last visit, there was an uncharacteristic delay with our food because the restaurant was extremely busy. Dino was most apologetic and gave us a free bottle of wine with our meal to compensate. We look forward to seeing you next year, Dino.
