We really enjoyed our meal here. We ate at places with a range of prices in Madeira and so it is difficult to rate them all fairly, but we thought this was similar price to Olives and found it hard to separate them but for different reasons.
My wife ate from the set menu and she did think the asparagus starter was a bit over done and a bit skinny, but I had the best steak I ate all week. (Steak with Gorgonzola, excellent, medium rare and melted in the mouth, and I'm fussy when it comes to steak).
She really liked her risotto which had lots of asparagus and lots of prawns in it too (she prefers a creamy stoggy risotto, while this was more like a paella type consistency, but she still enjoyed it)
The coffee panna cotta pudding was fantastic, could have eaten that every day of the week.
It was just over 50 euros including a few glasses of wine, but there were some lovely little touches that maybe helps it just pip Olives. A nice glass of sparkling wine to start, then some little truffly chocs after dinner and a nice little liqueur at the end. Staff were friendly efficient and courteous, yes I would recommend this place.
