We always come in here for coffee and share a slice (of not for dieters) best chocolate cake. It is more like a solid mousse than cake - need a pastry fork. It really does melt in the mouth.

A great place to enjoy a coffee and a slice of EXCELLENT chocolate cake - it`s a type of choc mousse cake, very rich and gorgeous. Relaxing ambient music in the background and it`s a good sheltered spot (insdie or outside) to read or chat. Recommended.

One of my favourite places to stop in Funchal. They do great sandwiches on a choice of fresh bread, expect to pay between 3-4.50 euros for a sandwich. They also have a good selection of meals and specials of the day. BUT the chocolate cake is the only reason I go, as I always finish with a small slice of this, Its very rich and just melts in the mouth, so a third of a portion is probably enough for any choccy lover.

We were here only for our afternoon tea and desserts, And we enjoyed them.
Especially their "infamous chocolate cake". I advise you to order it with a cup of black tea and vanilla ice-cream. Very tasty!
