This Indian is tucked away up a steep incline next to the pingo dolce supermarket on the estrada monumental. It is a shame it is tucked away because it needs to be shouted about. We had tasted the local food which is very nice but can be bland at times. We fancied some spice so came here and then came back again !!! The place is nice, the owner is very charming but the food....oh my god it is to die for. I dont do too many excellent reviews but have to on this one. I have visited India and some of the food there is just phenomenal and this comes close. Its not your traditional 'English' Indian where everything can be too hot, overseasoned and generally the same where ever you go. There is a depth of flavour to everything and it is complex, the flavours dance on your tongue it is just plain delicious, Don't 'eat' here come and savour the food. And have the naan whatever else you have because they are traditional and a real taste of India. The other thing is the prices, compared to the rest of Funchal you can eat well at a reasonable cost here,
