Description: Integrated within the Moon Hill Hostel, this space aims to be one of co-habitation between travellers and locals, allowing a total exchange of experiences and cultures. To this end we provide you with a space where you can breathe the good atmosphere, heated by the salamander that stands out, for the possibility of a romantic meal in one of our loveseats for two and the bustling view of the Palace of Sintra when entering or leaving. And of course, the mouth-watering flavors!

“Really tasty & romantic restaurant ”

We came in by accident and didn't regret it. The food was served in small to medium dishes but with great taste! Still need to work on the service. Recommended!

“A very nice meal before or after visiting Sintra”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2014

The restaurant serves excellent gourmet food with a good price/quality relationship. The menu is based on Portuguese traditional dishes prepared by a chef. The decoration is relaxed and cozy. I consider “Meia Tigela” a good restaurant to go with friends before or after visiting Sintra, preferentially with some spare time to enjoy both the place and the balance of the flavors.

“finally a good bistro in Sintra”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2014

I had a lovely meal at Meia Tigela. The place has very cool decor featuring a hanging fireplace and classic portuguese hidraulyc tiles. I had the braised chicken followed by a chocolate tart, both very good. The service was very nice and attentive to all details.

“One of the best in Sintra”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2014

Great food and good prices. One of the best restaurants in Sintra, for sure. Maybe the best. Very quiet and near the center.

“Excellent meal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2014

The restaurant is located at the Moon Hill Hostel, but has an outside entrance for everyone that wants to go to the restaurant. I and my wife went there while staying at the hostel.
The menu tries to pick on the traditional Portuguese food, and tries to “update” it. I can say they achieved it! We had a delicious meal (I had meat, and my wife had cod). Unfortunately, we did not eat the rest of the menu, but it looked great (by spying the other tables…). The staff was very helpful and attentive. The price was very affordable for what we had eaten.
Being new, there are small details to improve, but overall, is excellent. We will return for sure.
