“Not too many people so nice”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2013

Best time of the year virtually anywhere is spring time when the temperatures are moderate. And so it was for us in April. Sintra is a beautiful little town high above Lisbon but only a 30 minute ride by taxi. We hired two taxis for the 7 of us and it cost $150 for the day. They picked us up at our hotel, gave us a tour of Lisbon enroute and then took us to both of the big palaces of Sintra. Better yet, in the town square next to the palace with two fat smoke stakes we had the best pastries we've had anywhere.

“Interesting visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 8, 2013

I found the kitchens here really interesting with huge chimneys and all the cooking implements. The rest of the palace is interesting too with lovely decorated rooms and views out over the surrounding area.

“Nestled in the Heart of Sintra!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2013

Unusual, whimsical, and interesting...in a place where that is the norm! With stunning views available from many locations, the shapes found throughout the building are fun and made me smile.

“very lovely”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2013

Beautiful palace with lovely exterior and interiors however it is rather expensive and we think asking for the extra 2euros for the little bus AFTER you have paid is a bit cheeky - its not a long walk and its pretty so dont do it!
Sintra itself really looks worth an explore so if you have time do that

“A interesting palace with many steps”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2013

Te palace has many artifacts that are original. They are beautiful. Many of the rooms have been refurbished. The view from the palace is wonderful, you can see the town and the forest from many of the rooms.
