This restaurant is away from the main square in Sintra, down a narrow street and confusingly hidden below another restaurant. It is small but cosy, an old tobacco warehouse with darkened beams and twisted chandeliers. The owner speaks perfect English and recommended the roast that they had prepared because it was Sunday, it was beautiful, long, slow roasted lamb with garlic, herbs and lemon, served with simple roast potatoes. Others in our party also enjoyed the grilled octopus. As usual in Portuguese restaurants, they bring to the table when you arrive cheese and olives and ham, you don't have to have this and if you do, you only pay for what you eat. The wine list was also good and the owner helped us choose as our knowledge of local wines is pretty non-existent. Altogether a great meal - we'd go again
