“Great place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2013 via mobile

Great food, good variety, excellent and above all friendly waiters, the buffet is a brilliant way of getting to know Portuguese cooking, and all that for a very reasonable price.

“Great ambience, beautifully restored buffet resto in Bairro Alto”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2013

Dropped in for a glass of wine at 2:30 pm when we couldn't stand the heat any more and came back for supper because the buffet was tempting and had enough vegetarian dishes for my partner. Reasonably priced, quality OK, service excellent, small, intimate, clean! (BTW never got sick once in Portugal - noticed a big (positive) difference with some of its neighbours unfortunately on the cleanliness hygiene scale)

“Best Portugese soul food and friendly, attentive service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2013 via mobile

Rosa da Rua offers a tasty, homecooked alternative in a quite cool space. we went for the Portugese buffet - a very nice surprise. Good cheese, tomatoe and olive sallad with balsamico, porc in herbs, beef, octopuss, vegetarian lasagna, frango and much more. Clean, friendly, laidback - it's just always nic to feel welcome... - and you can buy vintage jewellery and dresses off the wall. Ps: the orange-caramel flan was fantastic.

“Good food, good service, good price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2013

Nice portugueese but also revisited food! if you are tired of that traditionnal oiled portugueese food but still want to eat something portugueese, this is a good deal.
The buffet is big and good, everything fresh and warm. The staff will explain you the dishes even in french.
Nice place.
Price is good 13euros/person, without desert and drink. We would love to return there.

“Great food and good value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 5, 2013 via mobile

It was quite early in the evening and we were the first customers so we took the plunge and went in on the recommendation of our apartment owner. The waiter took time to explain the authentic Portuguese dishes and we made a good attempt at sampling each one. They were all delicious as was the excellent 1 litre of Dao we enjoyed for only 10 euros. The place soon seemed to fill up but the chef kept the dishes replenished and the waiters were very quick to clear away our plates only to replace them with fresh ones for a further visit to the buffet. This place represents excellent value and offers the opportunity to sample a wide range of Portuguese dishes
