“Good hotel little outside of the center”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 21, 2012

This hotel is a budget 4* category (no negative opinion in this). You get what you pay for.
Location - not in the historical center of Lisbon (cca 30-40minutes walk), but still not far. There is a metro station few metres from the hotel and you can be in the center in a few minutes by metro or taxi. With a cheap transportation in Lisbon, not a big deal. This location is advantageous for going to the airport (by taxi 10mins, by aerobus 15mins) if there is no traffic.
Rooms - rooms are nice, comfortably furbished, altough the twin beds are very close to each other because of the size of the room.
Breakfast is very good, lots of choices.
Can reccommend as a cheaper alternative in Lisbon.

I almost feel I'm being a little harsh giving this 3 stars- I liked this hotel and would recommend it .You're near the subway at both Parque and Marques do Pombal. You are a few blocks from Il Corte Ingles and its indispensable supermarket (in the cellar). You are around the block from O Cardo- a very pleasant restaurant. The rooms are nice. The desk help is congenial and they give you a special rate for breakfast if you want it- which is quite reasonable for what is a good breakfast. The Gulbenkian is about 15 minutes away by foot, the zoo one or two subway stops.Downtown Baixa is about a 40 minute walk.Oh and it is quiet and when you want it , dark in the rooms.

Room Tip: Probably you want off the street

The family room we booked was so spacious, it was great. We had several devices pulling on the free Wifi with no problems and the hotel is situated really close to a Metro station. The staff at this hotel were particularly friendly and helpful and the breakfast was good, with plenty of available seating and food.

Room Tip: Don't be put off by people saying that their room was "below ground level". The street...

HF Fenix Urban located within walking distance of many traditional must see sites is a welcomed Oasis in the center of Lisbon. Rooms are well appointed, food is excellent, staff at the front desk, those working in the bar, and in restaurant are truly ambasadors representing Portugal at its best. A beautiful and safe city in which to walk and enjoy; culture, history, and wonderful food.

Room Tip: If you need to change to a different room, staff are most accomodating.

I was satisfied with the room although I wouldn't call it exceptional. It is modern, clean and in a good location especially for the tours that leave close-by and to the Metro system which is only a block away. The breakfast was very good and included in the price of the room in my case. I got the room through Kayak and felt the price was very reasonable for what I paid.
I noticed some guests complained about the wifi, but I had no problems.

It is hard to imagine a better Hotel for one's first visit to Lisbon. In our case for three days.
Priced reasonably and located perfectly, if one wishes to tour the city on the open-top buses.
The rooms were clean and comfortable, bathrooms also, and as a bonus the breakfast was included in the room rate.
On-site parking, a bit tight going around the corners, added to the experience.
A great choice for us, in a top city.
Recommended.
