“High quality boutique hotel in excellent location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2010

Close to all the central Lisbon attractions, this hotel was very smart blending modern features with classic Lisbon style. The staff were very helpful and made some excellent recommendations for dinner. I definitely recommend it for a short stay in Lisbon.

If you want to stay in a very pleasant and nice hotel, right in the centre of things, then this hotel is perfect. You have walking distance to shopping, nightlife, restaurants, the park etc. You need neither taxi nor the metro. There is an underground parking lot nearby, where you can park your hire-car, but be warned, we payed 39 euro for just 2 days in it.
The hotel is delicately furnished, both the lobby and the rooms. No wall to wall carpets, in case you have allergies like one of us. We stayed in room 51. An awesome room on the corner, with a super view. No noise from the street whatsoever.
The main-receptionist was very helpful when we arrived. Without us asking, he took up a map and showed us where to go and what to do.
There is a jet-pool in the hotel, great for a little swim after a long day.
The breakfast buffet was not enormous, but had all the stuff you normally want.
We could not have made a better choice in the hotel jungle, and would love to go back to Lisbon and Heritage av Liberdade anytime.
You MUST check out their webpage to see the photos of the hotel - the photos uploaded onto the Trip Advisor website don´t do the place justice at all.

We loved everything about this hotel. The location is great, close to 2 metro stations and on a wide leafy avenue. Although it is a main road, our room - facing the main road - was very quiet. We had a king, very comfortable bed, wooden floors, neutral colours, lovely bathroom, effective air conditioning. Unusually, there was nothing we would change. There is a self-service station in the lobby for making tea 24 hours a day, small but nice bar and consistently charming staff. The small pool in the basement was an unexpected bonus given the early July heat. We did not breakfast here, but it looked lovely too. A wonderful base for a weekend (or longer) in Lisbon.

First i have to say that the staff were outstanding, they made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived until the moment we checked out. This is a boutique hotel in a beautifully restored historic building; the location is great, it was easy to travel to all parts of Lisbon from the hotel. The rooms were very clean and well appointed, and the hotel is small enough that it had all we needed without the feeling of being overcrowded that you get at come of the larger chains.
I would be happy to stay here again next time we are in Lisbon.

Chosen from TripAdvisor, where I noticed that the family-run Heritage chain near top or near top position in all its properties.

Classical Lisbon building right on the Avenida da Liberdade, two minutes' walk from the Metro and right in the centre of everything, restored into a beautiful small hotel with modern but relaxing interior. The lobby / lounge walls are tiled and a small breakfast area is beyond the reception. Breakfast price was on the high side, but offered good selection and included an espresso machine for those who like a good coffee hit first thing in the morning.
There was a small mezzanine library with workstations and a pool of sorts downstairs.

The whole place breathes "style"; even the lift, though at one point they have gone too far, in that the corrdors are so dark that you have a hard time fitting the keycards into the right place! It would be well worth turning up the lighting.

The rooms are of medium size with high ceilings and many of them have balconies. The beds offered the best sleep I have had in a hotel all year. Bathrooms are well equipped.

Staff were all friendly and helpful; I could not fault any of them. In short I have no hesitation about returning and recommending this hotel.

Quiet, friendly, clean, comfortable. Large room and bathroom, high ceilings. Twin bed could be a tad larger. Paulo, the evening concierge could not have been more helpful. Not the cheapest but worth paying the premium for the relaxing and welcoming ambience. 5 minute stroll to the Rossi (Sintra) station, 10mins to centre. Taxi rank 50m down the road. Free internet access, delightful tea making facilities in lobby. Basic but reasonable room service. Would definitely stay again.

Situated in the tree lined Avenue De Liberdade is a perfect location for this hotel, close enough to some of the main attractions yet also removed and peaceful when you need to retreat from the heat and hustle of the city.

We booked this for my Wifes birthday, I asked the hotel if there was anything they could do to make it extra special and they kindly provided a bottle of champagne and a free room upgrade. The room was spacious, yet minimal - just to our taste.

All of the staff were very helpful and advised us on great restaurants to try and places to see. They seemed genuinely keen to find out how we had got on and what we thought to their various suggestions. We often returned after great nights out in the Barrio Alto between 3-4AM and were always provided with a coffee and biscuits when we asked.

The hotel is a great base, there's no resteraunt or swimming pool but in a city such as Lisbon there are so many other things to do and places to eat. It was interesting that all the places reccomended to go to in the Lisbon forum were also suggested by the Staff.

Apart from the city we also took trips to Belem and Sintra - both well worth doing and very easy to get to by tram and train.

Loved Lisbon, loved this hotel.
