“Fun way to get around”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2012

We took trains, trams and funiculars on our trip. The funiculars are great old ones and some of the trams are nearly 100 years old. If it is hot out, the old open air trams are much more comfortable than the new trams (they don't have the air set cool enough)! The 28 tram takes you almost everywhere you want to go and if you are on a short trip, probably the only one you will take. The funiculars are expensive, but are covered if you get the transport passes, so get the transport passes!

As with any major city, keep track of your valuables while on public transport!

“A great way to see Lisbon”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2012

Get a 5 Euro 24 hr pass and hop on and off. Also gets you on the Elevador de Santa Justa. Tram 28 is a wonderful roller coaster of a ride.

The funiculars and trams were an easy way to get around town and were especially great for steep hills!

“Must buy day pass”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 13, 2012

The day passes (€5.5 for 24hr / €10.5 for 48hr) offer excellent value for money as unlimited metro, tram, bus and funicular rides are included. The funicular otherwise would cost ~€3-4 per ride!

Excellent way to learn Lisbon. Very well maintained. you'll be able to find different trams, different funiculars. and very cheap! Be aware of the pick pockets!
