Cascais is a quaint small town about a 30 minute train ride from Lisbon. Upon exiting the train station, you’re greeted by a McDonalds at the square which is not the greatest thing. However, as you walk down the small streets and alleys, there are some nice shops, restaurants, bars, etc. As you reach the end of the walk, you come upon the small beach. It’s very picturesque with the fishing boats, pier, and beaches. The whole trip from Lisbon is doable in about 3 hours if you keep on a tight schedule.
