Palacio Fronteira is an incredible piece of architecture and decor! Azulejos (colorful tiles) are all over the place: inside and outside the palace, at the terraces, at the garden - everywhere! You can visit either the garden only or take a tour inside the Palace. The tours are given only few times in the morning because the Marquise lives there, so the property is private (and for the same reason no pictures taken inside the Palace) and is closed for the second half of the day for the visitors. The tour is totally worth it - the guide tells you not only the story related to the Palace and the Marquise family but also gives lots of interesting stories about azulejos decorations. For example, there are some humorous and ironic scenes from the past times.
For the azulejos lovers this place is a must see. To get there I used public bus #70 from subway station "Sete Rios", it runs like once every half an hour so check with the schedule before going. It takes about 15 minutes to get to the Palace.
