This was one of the best and most memorable dinner experiences my husband and I had in Lisbon. First of all, it is a small place in the Alfama and we were the only people in the restaurant, other than the owner, some friends/family members, and a guy playing guitar and singing. They were very welcoming and we ended up having a great time; the owner's grandaughter (about 4 years old) came to visit and was even singing and dancing with the music at one point.
In addition, the food was very tasty. I had the fish stew and my husband had the Moamba de Galinha (Angolan chicken stew); the homemade dessert custard (made fresh by the owner) was great. I would recommend this restaurant if you want good, cheap food and a unique, memorable dining experience!
