“Perfect!”

This hotel is a gem! The staff is helpful, friendly and genuine. We arrived late and it seems we were the last guests scheduled to arrive that day. Sara came out to the street and helped us out with the luggage, checked us in and carried my mother's luggage all the way to the room. Breakfast is delicious; it includes different kinds of pastries, fresh orange juice, tea, coffee, eggs, bacon, mushrooms, ham, cheeses, and fresh fruits!! The staff was friendly and always helpful; the lady attending the tables at breakfast, always had a smile and was very helpful! It is close to Rocio and Figuereda Squares and this is an easy walk because you are going down the hill. The day we went to Belen and to el Corte Ingles ( Sebastian Station Blue line) supermarket to buy water and few things we needed, we purchased the 6 Euro metro tickets, which allowed us to take the metro, busses and take the elevators. When we were going back to the hotel, we took the Justa elevator as the first stop leaves you at the Hotel level, so make a left, pass some restaurants and you will end up right next to the Carmo Musseum. Across the street there is the plaza, where the restaurants place tables and chairs so it is nice to enjoy the food, the entertainers and the weather at night. We could not hear any noise from other rooms nor from the plaza outside! Clean, really clean, modern, recently renovated hotel, great staff . I will definitely book it again!

We were 2 families with teenagers and wanted the rooms to be near each other. We therefore booked direct with the hotel who made sure we were all together. The hotel is on a pretty square within walking distance of everything. The rooms are all very clean and contempary, with the most comfortable beds we have ever been in! The buffet breakfast had a huge selection of items to choose from served in the modern restaurant. However, the restaurant in the evening was a huge dissapointment. We went there on the first night as we were tired after travelling, and found the menu limited and food poor. Three of us ordered steaks, we were not asked how we wanted them, and one came very rare, and the other two overcooked. It was a shame as we loved everything else at the hotel, including the very helpful staff. Best restaurants were Chapitos up near the castle with lovely views, and Sacremento, lovely interior and food, close to the hotel.

Luxurious (with a boutique feeling) hotel in an excellent, central, location in Chiado, close to many cultural attractions. In spite of its central location, it is surprisingly quiet. Free, reliable internet and very good breakfast.

On the (slight) downside, the lights and the bathroom arrangements are modern, attractive, but sometimes quirky (for example all light switches are next to each other so there is a learning curve which turns on what light). Is there a pianist in the house?

The trip advisor comments didn't disappoint...very comfortable/stylish/classy/friendly/convenient location. Super choice at breakfast....very relaxing atmosphere. Staff were excellent. The convenient location meant a walk to everywhere you need to go...stations, attractions etc.... albeit hilly!! We were disappointed with the standard of food in the area...all restaurants desperate for your euros (?) and found the constant busking beggars a nuisance to your ears (even an accordion player on the train to Estoril!) neither the fault of the hotel!!

Visited hotel from 6-8 Sept with my wife and spend a wonderful time at hotel and city of Lisbon, the hotel is very central to main shops and excellent restaurants which are abundant.Staff were excellent with giving advice and ensuring your comfort.
Stayed in room 204 nice and roomy but shower door still not repaired having read previous report about room in tripadvisor, other than that room and staff excellent, I would return no problem.
Hotel is well situated but to walk to centre which is only 5minutes away you go downhill I really mean downhill quite steep and when returning its just as hard going up.

Our experience here overall was positive. The staff were helpful and friendly. The location is perfect, close to the station and 5 minutes walk from endless good eating places. Breakfast was good but service at the hotel's place on the adjacent square was a bit slow. However service at the bar itself was excellent. On arrival we were allocated a large disabled room on the ground floor which after one night we managed to change. The carpet outside the bathroom was damp which we realised was caused by the shower not draining well and causing a bit of a flood when used. The doors utilise a scanning system for entry. Outside our first room it was rather dark and difficult to see how to open the door the first time. Our second room was much better but both rooms had the most bizarre light switches which only the electrician who installed them would understand! Some of the fittings might be deemed trendy but are not practical. e.g. opening the bathroom door to get out.
We would definitely visit this hotel again but would not want room 111. Even the girl who was taking room numbers at breakfast giggled when we said 111!

Room Tip: Refuse room 111 unless you are disabled

Everything was beyond perfect. The room, the food, the staff, the location. I could not have asked for anything better. The positive experience added to a fabulous trip to Portugal. The hotel restaurant had tables at the plaza, Largo do Carmo, and the food was so good we ate there frequently. Try the pataniskas!
