“Cheap Vegan”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 6, 2013

We had dinner here at Portuguese time, at 11pm. It's quite cheap, with some dishes starting at just €3. The menu changes every day and is very limited, I think there were like 6 different options. The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is because we didn't like the bread pudding. We specifically asked wether it had tomato, and though they told us it didn't, it had sundried tomatoes.

“Lisboa does vegan right!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2012 via mobile

Although Portugal isn't known for having a veg friendly cuisine, there a lot of us out there alive and kicking and need veg friendly foods. Alice knowing this has tapped into something amazing hence The Food Temple. This cute little and intimate vegan restaurant sits close to the city center tucked in a neighborhood. The menu changes daily and typically offers a few tapas (small plates) options and a one main dish. I suggest if you at least two people, to order one of everything. You can't go wrong with that I promise you. The kitchen is an open one and is settled right in the heart of the restaurant so you can watch all the action happen. For parties bigger than 4 I would suggest calling ahead to reserve a space as the restaurant is small but does offer outside dining as well, for the days when the weather is beautiful. They have a selection of Portuguese wines and beer to choose from and coffee and espresso to end the dinner. For all those who are vegetarian or vegan - and those who are open minded to eating a meatless meal - and you happen to be in Lisboa then it's a MUST to visit this place. Say hi to Alice ! :) she's a sweet heart and your chef.
