“nice old style 3 star portuguese hotel with added benefit of swimming pool”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 12, 2012

This is a very nice old style 3 star portuguese hotel with added benefit of swimming pool. it is a bit dated, but very clean, cheap (at 45-50e per night is a bargain in lisbon). away from the noise of the old town but close enough to get there in 5 to 10 minutes by metro or bus, or in 45 minutes walk (only the way down, the way up is uphill). lots of local buses to/from the airport within 2oom of the hotel, and lots of restaurants, cafetarias and a supermarket all within 5 minutes walk or less from the hotel. the outdoor swimming pool is the real added benefit, as it gets hot in lisbon in may-september. definitely recommended.

Excellent value for money, a very comfortable room, big wardrobe and desk, enough space to put your things if you travel with huge luggage, lots of towels.
Attentive and friendly staff.
Special thanks for the baby cot - it's the first time for us that it came with the blanket.
A few minutes from the metro and Entrecampos train station which we used to go to Queluz and Sintra.

We booked four nights at the VIP Executive Zurique through British Airways with our flight, we arrived at 9:15pm from Lisbon Airport. The Hotel is easy to get too, just catch AEROBUS LINE 1, just outside the airport entrance just follow the signs in the Airport to the Bus stop, and get off at the third stop CAMPO PEQUENO tickets about 3.5 Euro, the hotel is close to the stop just 6-7 minutes’ walk from the stop.
Hotel was basic but clean and tidy and staff were very helpful, I would defiantly stop again if we go to Lisbon. There is a Bullring across the road from where you get off with Shopping centre below it which opens at 10:00am, good Supermarket there.
We did not eat at the Hotel but I would recommend the Rodizio Grill just opposite the Bullring, it is a Brazilian Barbeque and you can eat as much as you want for 24-Euro for three courses, the waiters were great and they explained how everything worked, we had wine also at about 10-Euro a bottle, they carve the meat onto your plate and it just keeps coming and coming different type of meat about every 10-minutes.
Lisbon Centre is about half an hour’s walk from the Hotel or underground not far from the Hotel, If you intent to travel around Lisbon get a day pass which is 5-Euro for 24-hours, and you can travel on Busses Trams and the Underground as many times as you want in 24-hours.
If I had to complain about anything is when we visited other Restaurants in Lisbon they had a habit of bringing other things to your table such as bread, pate, cheese and other things that we did not order, at first we thought they were complimentary, but at the end you were charged, up to 6 to 8 Euros in some cases, in England I would not pay for anything I had not ordered. Overall we had a great time in Lisbon, great people and pleanty to see

We paid a mere €43 for a twin room and for such a low price the hotel exceeded our expectations. For the price the hotel was exceptional value. The room was a reasonable size, and was clean, the bed was comfortable and there was a good shower.

As we arrived at Entrecampos rail station the location was ideal, and while it was a little way from the centre it was only a 5 minute walk to the metro, and only a few stops into the main parts of the city. Breakfast was fairly average but again was very good value at only €7 each.

Simple hotel with basic facilities: clean room, comfortable bed, good hot breakfast and strong flow shower (this is important to me). And of course - very friendly staff. Special thanks and respect for odler bartender:)

It is well located (easy access to metro and train), is located close to the Gulbenkian Museum (about 5 minutes walk), has public car park which is paid from 9:00 to 19:00 on weekdays and in addition has a private park of the hotel where you only pay a maximum of 9 Euros per day.
They gave us a room on the second floor with bathroom with bathtub. The size of the room and the bathroom was good, the mattress was a little soft but without being uncomfortable, there are some noises from the central air conditioning (?) and from other rooms but they were within the noise limit tolerable. It's probably what could be better. The staff was friendly. In our accommodation was not included breakfast.
For the price we paid (in promotion), it was a great choice and I will choose this hotel again for the same price. At list price will probably choose another hotel in this same area.
