We stayed in a hotel at Praca Moniz. The February evening was cold and rainy and we decided to walk into one of the nearest restaurants just outside the hotel. We love fish and seafood in Portugal. Restaurant O Baleal had a wide selection of fish to affordable prices. The waiters were quick, friendly and service minded and helped to remove the bones from the very well tasting white sword-fish (from Madeira Atlantic). House red wine was also of a good quality. We also had nice desserts, portwine, aguardiente velha (brandy) and coffee, all of a good quality. The surroundings were not very impressive, but high quality food and bevarages, friendly waiters and reasonable prices all together make his a good option for dining in Lisboa city centre.
