not exactly a must see, but since it's on the way to the Torre de Belem and the Mosteiro dos Jerônimos, you can easily take a look at this monument for the navigators of Portugal's glorious times.
You can easily get there by bus nr 15 from metro to Balem district.Beautifully located by the river near the bridge.Impressive.
the exhibition on Portugal and Goa is so well presented and there was information available in other languages as the exhibition tags are all in Portuguese. The staff were really nice it was a really cheap E3 to get in and there are also nice views from the top of the tower.
Really liked it but think they could display the names of the sailors represented in the monument somewhere visible, so we knew who were looking at.
Unique memorial, great square for kids to explore as well. My youngest was really intrigued how the men were placed on the memorial. We did not venture inside, we arrived later in the dat but for €3 it seems like a bargain
