Just got back home from Lisbon after a week holiday where we stayed at the Residencia Nazareth. Was easy to find, from the airport you just pick the red metro line and get off at san sebastio station -easy to buy ticket from the machine always somebody there to help.
the hotel about 3 minutes walk from the metro but the another metro station called Parque is only 3-4 minutes as well. There is a board above the main door and the hpotel name is on but mind the hotel is on the 4th floor lift is useful:-)
Check in was easy got in the room first impression the room was very clean, clean sheets on the bed, plenty of towels, clean bathroom, hairdryer-vey useful if you travel with hand baggage:-)) they even provide soap and small shower gel and shampoo.Floor was very clean, too.
You can make your cup of tea in your room they provide tea bag and sugar but if you do prefer coffee take some with you,
Our room was facing to the main street which was ok that mean did not disturb our sleep but 1 night only we could not sleep at all because god knows from where we heard terrible noise, music, shouts, screams all night we had an idea maybe from the night club across the street , this was only saturday night otherwise nights were fine.Cleaning lady came every day to change towels and make the room tidy.Receptionists were ok not over friendly but allright because we did not have breakfast here we did not interract with them too much.
Area looked very safe compare some other area in Lisbon where we went out to eat and walk late night. Were happy to get back to San Sebastiao area, felt really safe and quiet.
There is a park behind the hotel walk up a little bit on the hill, nice for chill out , lovely coffee shop beside the small lake.
Corte de Ingles shopping mall is only 2-3 minutes walk great supermarket in there where you can buy everything you need.Restaurants easy to find close to the hotel where you can eat breakfast, luch, dinner for cheap. My favourite was the coffee and cake shop just next to the hotel right side if you facing to the main door.Lovely fresh cakes, coffee and delicious sandwiches.
Town centre about 10 minutes by metro .
If you thinking hire a car we used europcar had great service , only 5 minutes walk from the hotel down the streat towards the parque metro station.
Last day because we flon late we left our baggage in the hotel after had to leave the room at 12 am,( some tips helps!!) but this is good because we still had couple of hours to enjoy this wonderful city.
Generally we enjoyed our stay in Lisbon and at the Residencia Nazareth , and would definitely recommend to anyone!!!!
Maybe better to choose a room facing the back rather the main street if you are not a good sleeper.
