“Nice but not 5 star”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2013

Hotel has nice amenities if you stay in winter months. No pool or spa make it tough to justify a 5-star rating. However Concierge was very helpful making reservations at hard-to-get restaurants. Room service was lacking (not one order in three day stay was accurate or complete). Close enough to the main attractions but not ideally central. Nothing nearby in terms of a quick market or wine shop and breakfast is grossly overpriced. Beds were a bit hard but furnishings nice and rooms were spacious. We stayed in a family room and it was perfect bc the kids stayed in a connecting room.

Room Tip: There is only one family room on each floor so may be problematic if traveling with other families...

Dear Guest,
Thank you for your feedback. We are glad you enjoyed your stay but sorry not to have met your expectations. We are really proud of our service but we also understand that a swimming pool can be a must, specially for a family stay.

From arrival the staff looked after us, from parking the car to providing pillows from their range of comfort levels. There was nothing to complain about in relation to the rooms. The hotel is about 20 minutes walk from key attractions in Lisbon, or 6 euros in a taxi, and the best restaurants are about this far away (always depending on what you like). The bar is a bit pricey for drinks, although there is a good variety of bar snacks, if you are not up to,eating in the restaurant.

Very nice and clean hotel with good size rooms. The hotel is situated next to a park on the edge of the city center. Only 2 stops with the subway, and you are in the heart of the city. Breakfast was excellent and the service was great. Good vallue for money.

I stayed here for 4 nights. In general, the hotel was excellent for the price I paid. Staff was helpful, especially the female staff when compared to the sometimes impatient or semi-arrogant male staff. The rooms were clean, large, and comfortable. Concierge provided plenty of useful suggestions on sightseeing and dining.

Pros:

Rooms large and clean. Shower has good pressure.
Bed comfortable. Plenty of pillows provided.
Concierge provided plenty of useful information for sightseeing and dining. Excellent recommendations
Staff generally polite

Cons:

Hotel sitting on a hill. Although it only takes 20 mins to walk to the town's main street, the walk is downhill. It takes more effort and a lot more time to walk back to the hotel. Expect plenty of money spent on taxi, or you can take the bus.
Male staff occasionally appeared impatient and arrogant

Room Tip: Choose a high-floor room that faces the front. You will get a good view of the city and across the v...

I loved this hotel. Booked last minute for a weekend trip and was pleasantly surprised that the rate was so reasonable. Overlooking the Eduardo Park, the location is very beautiful but is not centrally located. The city centre is a short taxi ride away and very scenic (be sure to take the tram while in Lisbon). There is so much to do in the city that we didn't spend a lot of time in the hotel, but the rooms were fantastic, nicely furnished, comfortable bed, and nice bathroom amenities. All the staff we encountered were very friendly. Didn't have dinner here as there are so many choices in Lisbon but really enjoyed breakfast. Will recommend to friends.

Great hotel at a reasonable price. Only downside is its a little way out from the true heart of the action, but if you don't mind walking (which is the best way to discover Lisboa) not a problem at all

Stayed here for 3 nights on business. Room was clean, comfortable and quiet with a good working space, desk and a nice bathroom. Breakfast area is well stocked and served by attentive staff. On my last day, I checked out before breakfast was served, but there was hot tea, coffee, croissants, etc to be had from a trolley in the lobby - brilliant!! It's a short walk to the restaurants zone in the town and there is plenty of choice!
