“Great hotel, fine service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2012

We stayed in this hotel for a couple of days and had a nice room. Especially the bathroom is excellent, great rain shower with good pressure and hot water. Lots of amenities. The minibar is a tad on the expensive side, and so is the breakfast by portuguese standards, but boy what a nice buffet assortment.

The location is quiet and a bit out of the old city but close to the subway which gets you to where you need to be in no time. A taxi ride to the center also only cost about 5 euros.

We've enjoyed staying in this hotel very much and would certainly come back.

I first stayed here back in early 2010 and I said it was the best hotel I had stayed in. Having stayed in numerous hotels since then I was interested to see how this second visit would compare, however I can still say that without question it's a fantastic hotel and possibly indeed the best I have stayed in. As a business traveller it has everything you need, great staff, well appointed rooms and good facilities (including free internet, a rarity in big hotels). The breakfast is pricey (as all hotel breakfasts are) but the choice is absolutely amazing compared to most hotel plus it tastes good!! I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, even as a tourist as apparently it is well located for sightseeing etc.

Beautiful hotel located across from park. Quiet, very nice rooms. Good breakfast buffet and dinners, but it is expensive. Hotel is well situated for walking into town and down to the Metro. Metro stations and trains are pretty clean, by the way.

Room Tip: Traveled with grown family members. Not a place for kids, except for possibly the park across the s...

The room was really nice -clean, great beds-, but the check-in process was a bit stressed, which didn't really help our vacation feeling. It's a 5* hotel and probably for Lisbon it is, but if you travel around this is not what you expect from a 5* hotel...

Room Tip: ask for a room with a view, otherwise you're on the back of the building and you get a generator...

The Tiara Park Atlantic was great - rooms were beautiful and spacious. Service was outstanding! I ate breakfast at the restaurant, and the food was very good though the buffet was expensive.
The hotel was in a pretty good location - in a quiet neighbourhood off the main downtown, but a reasonable walk (about 20 minutes) from the tourist sights in Lisbon. Only about a 5 minute walk from a subway stop -- subway is a great way to get around the city; inexpensive and easy to navigate.

We stayed there from 11-14th October for an unforgettable weekend in Lisbon - the very friendly city and people and weather... Hotel was more than excellent, a genuine description of hospitality - you just start dreaming and your dreams come true. Rooms were excellent in all means, size, cleanliness, bathroom etc... Breakfast was wonderful and service was amazing. Reception and concierge would do anything to please you (not only us - but all guests). Portuguese people by nature they are very welcoming, friendly and honest. One evening we went our for dinner and I forgot my camera in a taxi that we took from taxi stop close to hotel - I only found out next morning and it was really the worse sensation you could have specially when YOU FORGOT TO BACKUP THE CAMERA BEFORE THE TRIP - I went to concierge to tell the story and they listened to me and asked how does the camera look like and then here you go the camera was there... this made my trip fun once again... Anyway, hotel and people and city and country is VERY COOL - this city hardly sleeps...

Room Tip: Wherever you stay it will be nice...

The Portuguese seem to really understand service. This was very much on display at the Tiara Park. Every employee we encountered -- I mean every -- was extremely pleasant and helpful. Each one seemed to want to improve our visit to Lisbon and the surrounding area. We had a totally enjoyable stay. We went on to Spain from here, and sorely missed the service and amenities. The only drawback was that the hotel is located far enough away from most places travelers want to go that you often need to take a cab.
