“Less than expected”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2013 via mobile

I chose this hotel for location and for the spa, yet overall I was expecting much more. The room was too small and poorly furnished for a 4 star, and the bathroom was old and not perfectly clean. Moreover, the whole inside of the building could use fresh paint and modern features. On a positive note, staff was very friendly and professional, and the pool was OK.

If you are travelling from the airport to this hotel, use the metro. It goes from underneath the airport and just three stops later you get off at the Oriente stop which is right next to the hotel. Keep the ticket as it is reusable.
I had a very friendly welcome from a female receptionist and I was impressed with my room on the 7th floor. Very modern with a good view.
Breakfast and lunch was fine but we went out for dinner to restaurants so I don't know about evening meals there.
The strengths of the hotel are its friendly and helpful staff (very important for me) and its position close the airport with good metro links to the centre of Lisbon.
Not so good was the wifi, I had to fill out a form to join their hotel club to get access and then it didn't work! [All hotels should offer FREE wifi - without strings - it's good business!] A cup of coffee in my room cost €1.30; the air conditioning didn't work and the bathroom floor wasn't as clean as I would like.

We stayed overnight after arriving by train from Evora at the Oriente station. It's so close we walked over with our suitcases.
It's very clean , comfy beds, good linen and excellent bathroom. Excellent views and all we wanted for our last night in Portugal . It's easy to catch buses from nearby to the old part of Lisbon, but the area is stunning for its architecture, so it was a very interesting contrast.

Nice hotel, very good location in Expo 1998 - area. The staff was very friendly. Price/quality was very good. Area was nice, with Vasco da Gama-shopping center and very good restaurants nearby. Easy location near Airport.

I was very impressed by the hotel and restaurant facilities. Excellent food, service and views from the top. We went on a birthday treat and would recommend this place to celebrate a romantic event. Fantastic views and comfortable settings throughout. Easy location for all types of transport

Room Tip: Try and get a deal and it will be fantastic value for money

We stayed at Tivoli Oriente for a long weekend and were upgraded to a junior suite that is complimentary with GHA Plat. The staff were overall very friendly and the view from our room simply amazing. The rooms themselves seem somewhat outdated but this was no issue in our case. Price/quality a very good hotel for your stay.

Great staff and service, awesome location for travelers spending New Year's Eve because of the privileged view towards the spectacular fireworks show. The heated floors throughout the room, the gigantic mirrors and huge bathtub make it terribly hard to want to leave the place. Overall a very romantic stay!
