Stayed for 4 nights for a city break, booked in advanced and got an excellent rate of £50 a night. Close to airport, cost less than 10 Euros and around 10-15 mins perfect for a short stay. Hotel itself is situated adjacent to some major roads so expect to hear traffic in your room, having said that there was little other noise so it wasn't so bad.
The nearest Metro station took me around a 10 min walk (I walk quick) which was fine for me, if a slow walker this may not appeal so much. It took maybe 15 - 20 mins to central Lisbon on the metro so not sure why some people think it is too far away it was a perfect distance from the centre for me (prefer to stay little further away).
Despite being a extremely large hotel I found all staff to be friendly and offer that personal touch and better than usual from previous Marriott experiences. The room was not the largest nor the smallest but as you would expect kept to a high standard. There was a small balcony and my view overlooked the pool (and the roads!) which was nice.
The hotel restaurant (Citrus) had a good menu and did not disappoint on the several visits I made (there isn't any other choice in the vicinity). I didn't pay for breakfast so unable to comment. Small gripe there was not kettle in the room which is unusual for a Marriott chain, I already knew this in advance so brought a travel one with me.
The pool was a small(ish) affair but clean and there was lounges around to sunbathe on in the surrounding area. Never had time to try the gym so unable to comment. Would have been nicer to have a sauna, steam room, jacuzzi but presumably it would have been more expensive with these facilities.
Overall had a pleasant stay (thank you) and would definitely recommend Lisbon Marriott to other people and should I be in the area again would certainly revisit.
