Very nice hotel-brand new. Very helpful staff. Very private and quiet hotel. Walking distance to metro. Located in a quiet neighborhood.

Room Tip: Very helpful staff and good breakfast buffet.

Being billed as green, the hotel is compact, but that does not mean it lacks in any of the conveniences. From the front desk, where Katia, is very helpful, to the resuarant where we had breakfasts and lunches, they showcase their local foods and Portuguese cuisine. As hotel is only as good as the people who run it. We had a CMG meeting in this location and Sergio and his staff made it all work. I recommend this for people who are anxious to have relaxed vist, where you can schedule a massage and have a great espresso. Thank you Sergio and all the staff.

Not noticeably environmental despite claims unless you count air con that doesn't work well. But they do save money on staff - only one receptionist is not enough, specially when the stupid magnetic room keys break down and guests have to queue to have them replaced. And what on earth is in the coffee machine at breakfast? Disgusting concoction. If you can find a staff member they will make you a decent european style coffee though. Cheap by international standards but much better value is available in Lisbon. Nice interior design doesn't make up for penny pinching by management.

In a 15 hotel, 5 country trip, this was the best hotel experience I had. From start to finish the hotel staff were excellent. The decor is bright, cheery and clean. There is lots of light and nice furnishings. I was in a single room so the room was somewhat small but extremely convenient and comfortable. There is free wifi, a lovely spa, and an excellent breakfast in a bright and pleasant dining room. The hotel staff will give you a map and orient you to the city. The metro station (Picoas) and bus stops are within a 5 minute walk and make seeing ALL of the city extremely user friendly and cheap (buy a Viagem pass, 5EU for a 24-hour period, to allow you to hop off and on busses, tram cars and subways). The aeroporto bus (also at Picoas stop) costs only 3.50EU and is good for 24 hours. This trip was at the end of an intensive walking trip and I treated my feet to a luxurious pedicure/foot massage in the spa. The staff were superb and the treatment exquisite. After checking out of the hotel, I discovered that a rotating strike by the air traffic controllers had delayed my 0840 flight to 1600hrs. I took the bus back to the hotel where they were happy to give me my room back until I left again later that day. I would definitely stay here again.

My wife and I stayed at the hotel prior to our cruise. The front desk was very helpful and the breakfast was good.

Room Tip: Very good for the price I paid.

Nice hotel but was a bit out of the way, wasn't easy to find on the street. We arrived in Lisbon at around 9pm and the airport was v busy-queue was v long for taxis so we took a bus. The bus stop was a approx 10 min walk to hotel-would recommend if you arrive late at Lisbon airport, get a taxi to the hotel.Taxis are v reasonable in Lisbon-do ask how much first though. Room was v clean and pleasant and staff were v helpful. Taxi from hotel to sete rios bus station the following morning (as we were heading onwards to Fatima) was just over 8 euro.
The restaurant was a bit soulless-make sure you check what's nearby. Wouldnt recommend it for a special romantic meal. The food was nice though.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2012

Stayed at the Neya for 3 nights in April. Travelled on my own but was lucky to have a double room for myself. The rooms are spotless, with free WiFi, 32" LCD TV, hairdryer and even a massage pillow. At the reception are notebooks free of charge available (for the use in the reception area only). The reception staff was nice and very helpful, the complimentary breakfast a great start to the day.
The easiest way to get there from the airport: don't bother queing at the tourist information, go straight outside and join the loooong que for the Aerobus No.1 (City Centre). You buy the ticket from the driver (3.50 Euro) and get off at the 5th Stop: PICOAS. Your Aerobus ticket is valid for 24hrs on busses and trams (not the metro though) but good to know.
I found it a bit confusing to find the hotel at first, so therefore a detailed description:
After exiting the Aerobus cross the road and turn into Rua Thomas Ribeiro, the road changes it's name into Praca Jose Fontana. At the junction cross over, and turn into Rua da Escola Medicina Veterinaria (2nd one on the left). At the end of the road turn right and after 50m you reached the hotel (takes you about 6min). It is a bit north of the historical centre, but therefore quiet at night! The area seemed very safe and 3 different Metro stations are withhin 10min walking distance. Would stay here again!

Room Tip: Request a room on a higher floor. Stayed on the 6th floor with skylights and great view over the cit...
