The hotel is about 15 min from the airport, you can go by taxi cause the taxi is very affordable in Lisbon ( it's round 8 eur to the hotel , and from hotel to town center like 5 eur). Rooms are large, comfortable and clean. The pool area is small but OK, all in all best hotel for the price in Lisbon. The staff was helpful.

Arrived late after our flight, hotel about 15 minutes drive from airport. Large reception foyer, and we were dealt with quickly. The hotel room was very nice, mini bar etc, only problem it stunk of stale smoke. I contacted reception and asked to be moved, the receptionist was very apologetic, said he would come upstairs to give us our new room key and help move our cases, to save us walking down, which was good service. The new room was again very nice, smelt fresh, but no mini bar, but we were too tired to be bothered. It would be nice in future if hotels do ask if you want a smoking or none smoking room, as most people, except smokers would like a room that is clean and smoke free.

Room Tip: if you are a none smoker ask for a non smoking room to save a lot of messing

In general this hotel is in good shape. The beds were surprisingly comfortable and it's nice they offer tea cups/hot water in the room. However they charged for internet use and then the signal was not strong enough in the room to take advantage of what was paid for. We also had to call for additional toilet paper as it wasn't replaced and the tea bags were also not replaced once used.

Room Tip: If you can, ask for a room that is not on the street side as it's quite noisy.

We stayed at this hotel early August and were totally happy with everything. Location is convenient and easy reachable from anywhere, the environment quiet to have a good sleep, the room was comfortable and clean, the breakfast excellent and great value and the staff very friendly and helpful. The only little thing that could be better is the water quality of the rooftop swimming pool. A good choice at good price.

Room Tip: On higher floors you have a good view.

This is an excellent hotel, the room I stayed in was very spacious with a great view of the city. Modern, equipped with LCD screen TV, mini bar, hair dryer, couch, table with 4 seats, air con etc... I recommend if you're a business person as it gives the feel of a modern office with a bed :). Toilets are very clean and modern, smelling of fresh flowers. The location is excellent right next to bus stop and a few minutes from Saldanha. Loads of restaurants around, coffee, small shops and night clubs. No noise in rooms, had a good and relaxed night.

Room Tip: If my room was excellent, the others should be too.

We stated at holiday inn Lisbon and the service was excellent. They were very attentive & whenever we had an issue they resolved it quickly. We payed for wifi- but it wasn't working properly so they took off the charge. We also had to ask for them to replenish the soap in the bathroom as there were a total of 2 days with no soap- luckily we had brought some with us. Other than that, close to metro--but far from the action. Rooms clean, staff very helpful & nice. Would stay again...just hope they fix the wifi.

thank you for the comments made.

We are happy to see that you've enjoyed your stay with us, in spite the non-soap reposition.

Regarding the internet we are trying to resolve it with our supplier and hopefully will be ok in a future stay :)

This hotel has a good location close enough to Metro stations to reach City Centre Lisbon.
It is rated as a 4 star hotel, but that must be for Portuguese standards, I would class it as a 3 star.
The hotel is in good order, but could do with some decor upgrading.
The Vasco Da Gama restaurant is ok for breakfast, but really does need a complete makeover for me to have dinner there.
The chairs are old fashioned, ind of 70's style rattan with green seats. There are pinkish tables cloths on the tables on top of white ones, why not just have white? The walls need a good clean or general paint to be done.
At breakfast the staff couldn't keep up when bread, fruit or eggs ran out, and there was some waiting time. They also didn't have enough staff to clear up the empty tables and re-set, clean plates were missing etc. More staff would sort this no problem.
The prices for dinner or even the bar food was quite pricey for the place it is. A club sandwich was EURO 10.50, I certainly wouldn't pay that, and didn't see anyone else eat in the bar area. Only saw 1 couple have dinner in the restaurant, during our 3 night stay.
The bedroom was ok, very spacious, not sure I got an upgrade although I am a Platinum Priority Card holder, but maybe it wasn't available. Lot's of daylight would come in, but able to black out with the curtains. The bedrooms windows needed a good clean outside, very streaky from rain and god knows what.
The bathroom was adequate, although quite narrow. The bath/shower is positioned in front of the window, but thankfully there is a curtain to pull! Weird that the tap in the bath was still running although the shower head was also pouring water. But OK. There is only Dove shower-gel/shampoo attached to the wall for guest use.
The roof top pool area is great, BUT they need more sun loungers. There are only about 10 for use, so you have to be there early to get one. At the rooftop there is a small bar where you can buy drinks, but beware the drinks are expensive. EURO 3.50 for a can of Pepsi. You can also buy snacks and sandwiches to eat, but again very expensive at around EURO 10 for a ham and cheese sandwich. I saw no one eat at that place so the hotel would be better off using the space where they put up tables and chairs, to buy more sun-loungers and utilize the space better for their guests.
Metro stations Saldanha is only a short walk away, the best station to reach especially if you are carrying luggage, as it is NOT uphill which Almeda station is.
The Metro station is excellent in Lisbon. Clean, cool (air) and plenty of space although the stations lack soem kind of ambience. It is also cheap on the Metro, EURO 1.40 for a single trip, or around EURO 5.60 for a 24 hour travel pass, which lasts exactly 24 hours from purchase.

Room Tip: If you would like a balcony, ask for a room on the 3rd floor I believe.
