Stayed here couple of times. Hotel is not too big. The stuff is helpful, hotel clean. The breafast is excellent. The restaurant is rather small so avaid the 'rush hour' around 8 am. One thing separate it from 5* in my opinion: bathroom could be a bit more refreshed. It is not dirty or tragic but in some respect overused. I would say a minor renovation is due.
Location is nice, close to El Corte Ingles, Subway, Gulbenkian gallery ... Suroundings are nice, some restaurants close by. Good choice for a great 3* hotel in Lisboa

Room Tip: rooms on the side of hotel entrance

We were staying on a visit to the Catholic University of Portugal and this hotel was always booked and paid for by them, so we had no choice. The hotel is conveniently located for the university but not for the main tourist sites except the Calouste Gulbenkian Museum, which is within walking distance.

However, it is an excellent hotel - efficient and friendly staff, clean and well managed. There is also a metro station nearby from which there is an easy journey to the more touristic parts of Lisbon. We chose to walk most of the time but we sometimes took a taxi.

I would thoroughly recommend it.

This is a perfectly good hotel, quiet, moderately priced, and definitely on the high side of the advertised three star range. It is a bit away from the waterfront and tourist attractions but close to the Nova university and the beautiful and expansive Eduardo VII park. Metro nearby as well. All in all, good value for a decent but not luxurious stay.

We had a 4 night stay here in March, 2015. It is well situated in a quiet avenue but within easy walking distance of the Metro and a `hop on- hop off` stop for the Red Line tourist bus. There are also reasonably priced restaurants in the immediate vicinity. I can recommend the Portuguese restaurant to the left of the front door! Try the fish!
Re the hotel - the `front` staff were efficient and helpful, the room, totally adequate and clean. The breakfast buffet was good! One whinge! Too many tables in too small a space! It was difficult to move around. Also, we were leaving at 04.30 but packed breakfasts weren`t available.
However, these two issues don`t detract from the enjoyment of staying at this hotel. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Lisbon

Room Tip: We were on the 6th floor. It was peaceful and quiet with good views over the tree tops!

Just returned from 4 days in the Sana Executive Hotel in Lisbon. A gem near Sao Sebastiao Metro Station which gives ready - and inexpensive - access to the whole city. Comfortable, quiet and spotless good-size room with huge tree in-leaf outside. Very good breakfast and lunch. Staff are friendly and helpful.

As our plane was cancelled due to bad weathet conditions at home we did a quick search online and found this place. The staff is friendly, breakfast buffet is good, rooms are clean and quiet, the price is very convenient. It is a five minute walk to san sevastio metro station.

This was the 3rd time in this hotel, the best benefit by cost in Lisbon. Very comfortable, clean, clear, good location in a semi pedestrian street, with a cheap and good Chinese restaurant and a superb Portuguese restaurant few steps from the door, just avoid the Pizzeria next to the hotel, good pizza but very bad service. Certainly in my next visit to LIS, Sana Executive will be my residence again. Pedro Almeida, an old employee is the best !

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
SANA Executive Hotel is a totally remodeled three-star hotel, which stands out from the other hotels in Lisbon by its unique "art deco” style. A warm and engaging atmosphere can be found in all its areas, from the rooms to the corridors, the bar to the restaurant, the indoor garden to the lobby and reception. Set in a prime location, SANA Executive Hotel is situated in the heart of Lisbon - with many leisure attractions and facilities for business trips - but on a street with restricted access, with a wide promenade, terrace and garden benches, where the hotel enjoys calm surroundings and is a refuge from the bustle of Lisbon. SANA Executive Hotel is still close to major access routes and public transport connections to various far points of the city of Lisbon, as the hotel’s easily-accessible location makes it an excellent starting point for getting to know the whole capital. SANA Executive Hotel also has two meeting and events rooms at the top of the hotel, which offer a fantastic view over the city of Lisbon. ... more   less
