This was a cute hotel with a great location. It can be a little expensive, but it's cheaper than anything else near Av. Liberdade and we snagged our room during a great sale.
The staff was very helpful, even offering us additional tips about Portugal when we asked questions about this or that. We had a nice view of the city with the river in the distance and the bed was very comfortable. Our room theme was 'musical', but I really wanted to see the King Kong room across the hall!
There are two dings I would give Hotel Florida, though. First, he shower was annoying. There was a shield for maybe 1/3 of the tub, so you had to be careful or get the bathroom all wet, and the tub drain stuck up right in the middle of the small shielded area. Second, using the internet was 5 euro an hour for wi-fi, 6 euro to use their computer. Our other three hotels in Portugal on this trip ranged from free to 2 euro an hour.
