“Fabulous view, really good service, great food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 5, 2013

Fabulous view, really good service, wonderful decor and ambiance. The list offers a nice variety of dishes with fresh and traditional ingredients and exquisite desserts. Versatile wine list.
The one downside is that outside tables have no access to the regular menu, but a specific one.
The price is a bit 'spicy' but I would still recommend it, for a special occasion or just to break the routine.

“Evolutionary location, decor & fantastic staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2013

The location - Center of Unknown, is fantastic especially when the sunsets. One can hang out by the terrace for an Apero before adjourning to the restaurant. In the restaurant, one feels like in a giant museum/library. The only setback, I was told that the fish is fresh and ordered the pink swordfish. Shortly, the staff came out from the kitchen that the Chef told him that this item is unavailable. Probably, it would be helpful if the poor staff are given a proper briefing ....Ordering a cab after dinner was not a problem too. Will go there again..!

“Excellent view, food & setting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2013 via mobile

Right at the border of river Taag, Darwins cafe is part of high-end medic research lab with matching architecture. View is ecellent, setting is laid back loungy, prices more than reasonable, quality better than good. Take a walk from the Belem Tower, past the military museum and you will find it.

“Lunch in style with a view”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2013

On 7 april my husband and I had an excellent lunch in Darwin's Cafe in Lisbon.Though It is not on most tourist maps, it is very much worth seeking out.The building it is in is state of the art, only that is already worth a visit. It is near the Belem Tower. The staff was very courteous and saw to all our needs in a more than a professional way.We were treated as guests, not tourists. The food was good, fresh and well cooked and their adventurous fruit juices really made our day.Besides their prices are good value for money. And I did not even mention the view of the Tagus rivier!Highly recommended.

“Great setting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2013

Awesome space, inside and outside, with good food.
Try to get there for lunch or tea, preferably on a sunny working day, to fully enjoy it.
You should book it in advance...
