“Nice view of the Western city”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2013 via mobile

From this elevated view point you get a good view of western lisbon.
Quite a steep climb up but worth the view.
There is some shade we made it late afternoon so was still hot.
The walk back can take down some steep steps and in to the more rundown area of lisbon and off the beaten track.

“Must see any time of the day!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2013

My friend and I took the 28 Tram and got off at R. Graça then walked up Rua de Senhora de Monte. We actually more or less happened upon this great spot though we had heard about it previously. Does not take much time but absolutely worth the trip up there because the view is breathtaking and unbeatable. No bathrooms around that we could find and not a whole lot of food. We were there during the day but another friend went at night and said it was unbelievable then too - so go at any time!

“Where narrow streets become huge vistas!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2013

Not to be missed - it's free apart from the effort of getting there, which is well worth it.

We'd seen this vantage point marked in a guide book, but it's not on every map so this could be easily missed.

We found using more than one map really handy. As well as showing different features, they name different streets, so having more than one map is a great help to find your way around.

“Where you take in the beauty of Lisbon”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2013

Our tour guide drove us here at the end of our day trip around Lisbon. We had been around the city for the whole day and it was breathtaking to see it all from above, framed with olive trees (growing around the benches, bearing fruit) ; The castle, the city, the ocean. No wonder we saw many locals enjoying a sunny afternoon on the benches!

“beautiful view”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 11, 2013

You must see the city from here, its simply the best. Its also next to the cathedral and castle. It is a bit of a hike up to the point and we visits via Segway. Keep them s in mind when making the trek up to the vista.
