I love to shop. Here you will find stores like Zara, G Star, Berksha, Blanco, Benneton etc. It's a wide flat area with a mall and it's surrounded by places to eat and drink.
it seems to be the heart of Lisbon: there is something happening there every moment of the day. you can find shopping in great international shops or small lical brands, you can go from there wherever you want to visit or you can simply stay and watch hirryingpeople all around, tourists or locals. you can see policemen or homeless people, you can see beautifullydressed ladies or rebel teenagers.

I work here, and I love it everyday ! Its a very cool place to visit for shopping, to eat, to visit museums or churches. There are always lots of tourists, but also students and business suits. Its also very close to Bairro Alto so you can drop by if not to tired. Lots of transportation : bus, tram and metro.
Dont miss it !
Chiado is a must-see, especially for the nightlife. Famous Fado houses, restaurants and bars. Live music. Get lost there and enjoy it.
Augusto street, is much better to wonder around, than Chiado.... but you "may" find a good restaurant to have a meal. If you missed going there, you did Not miss a lot, because most of the areas down town are the same. the brand name shops are present in any mall ( even together in one place ). Our experience with the area was Not impressing. You can see and judge yourself. Good luck.
