My wife has been teaching History and literature at a school and hence has a fondness for monuments and museums. That’s one reason we cut short out Lisbon sight seeing trip and ventured into the National Museum of Ancient Art. It was deal well made. The paintings, mostly of Europena and Portuguese origins were spectacular and were a treat to watch. My wife had a sound idea of what each of it meant including the background of its origin. There were some exclusive exhibitions that we got to visit that day, adding to our enjoyment. The garden adjoining the museum building is a delight to spend some romantic moments, especially if you plan to have some food and sip on good local coffee, which is all available at the quaint little café just across the Museum premises.
