“A square with a heart”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 3, 2013

Ah! Rossio Square, the real heart of Lisbon - where everything you need is just around it (currency exchange/McDonald's and Starbucks for a free Wifi/Taxi/Metro station). A place to watch people and feed doves. On the downside, just say NO to peddlers or to people selling shades/sunglassess or illicit stuff (pots), and they'll never bother you. Wear an antiskid footwear on a wet day - cobbledstones slippery. I love this square.

“A great public space”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2013

This is a huge space with fountains and an obelisk. The patterns in the paving are interesting. The square is served well by the metro, buses and trams. There are nice cafes and shops around the suare.

“Watch the world go by!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2013

I loved Rossio Square as it feels like it truly is in the centre of town. Even though it geographically isn´t. You can sit in the sun (we had a small window of it on March 28th) and watch the world go by. It´s great to sit there with an ice cream and see the locals go about their business. Never felt unsafe either. The space is so open that you don´t feel surrounded by people like in some other world famous squares.

Stop by the ask lisboa kiosk for help and advise . And make sure you pick up a pastel de nata from one of the little bakeries dotted around

4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013 via mobile

Rossio is the name of the square surrounded by building structures, statue n fountains, benches etc.u can call it the heart of city coz this central place connects to other major parts.there is metro station n bus stand for sight seeing buses also.the floor of this square is beautifully made of black n white mosaics in the shape of waves.so u can relax n chill here sipping a cup of star bucks coffee.
