“Downtown Lisbon”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 7, 2013

Expensive. Desertification by excessive number of banks. A few years ago it was the commercial heart of Lisbon. Efforts are being made to return it to the old splendor. During nighttime it is somehow desert and one must be aware regarding robbery.

“lisbon spirit is there, you will never be bored.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2013

Lovely pedestrian area, lots of restaurants, cafes, shops, monuments, elevators, and even museums. things to do: 1- have a meal in the middle of the street. 2- have a cup of coffee in a cafe. 3- get a cone of ice cream. 4- get a sweet fresh pastry as a reward of just doing Nothing....You can get on the Elevator to see all of Lisbon from the top. at the end, have a walk to the end of Augusto street to the "commercial square" to have a look at one of the biggest rivers in the world. have fun.

“The heart of Lisbon”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 14, 2012

Downtown Lisbon is certainly a must see in the city. Its broad and ortogonal streets, always nice and tidy, and the proximity to the river will give you a feel only a few cities in Europe can match.

The streets are well planned and dotted with centuries old architectural buildings. A turkish restaurant served great Pizzas
