“underwater beauty”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2013

Surelly one of the best underwater Museums we have seen. although without a "tube" under the sharks, like many others have, this one is really well placed, has many different fish species and birds, turtles, etc. It's a 10 to 15 minute walk from the Oriente Metro Station towards the river and right turn. the walk is great with nice weather. Not so nice if its raining. parking is easy as it has many Parks around. After the Oceanarium, I advise a walk towrds the marina or Vasco da Gama bridge, always by the riverwalk.

Loved this place. Saw a lot of sea creatures we have not seem before. The otters were a hit. Lots of birds. Tiger sharks. We wanted a change of pace and enjoyed our day here.

“Best aquarium ever!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2013

Really enjoyed our visit here! Some great exhibits especially the sea turtle installation, the central tank with sun fish, the otters and the penguins! The focus of the Oceanario on marine conservation and education was really great!

“Great experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2013

as i have already been to many other bigger aquariums in the past, i just wanted to go in and have a quick look...but i ended up spending almost 4 hours!!! during my visit, there was a special theme on turtles and their conservation and it was just fantastic..the place was very well maintained and organized...its one of the few places where you can actually see the sea creatures from a glass panel under your feet...the restaurant inside the oceanarium was also good..highly recommend..

“One of the best aquarium in Europe”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2013

We visited the Oceanarium of Lisbon and loved it. Wonderful experience, perfect for kids and ocean lovers. The large aquarium makes you feel like you're inside the water swimming with the fish. The park near the river where it is located, where the world exhibit Expo98 was held is also very nice and you can rent bikes along the river. Unforgetable experience.
