“The best view over Lisbon”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2013

Take the tram nr. 28 and forget all those overpriced rides with the "sightseeing tram". The daily metro ticket also works by the way and it costs only 6€ for all the busses and subways in the city.

When you are up there take your time to enjoy the view. It is full of history. The guide (a paper) that you can get in the front desk will give you a first insight of the rich history of the castle. Don't forget to go to the little museum in the castle. It is easily overseen but provides great information about the place itself.

A very nice place to visit and spend the day with an amazing view of Lisboa and the sea. Visiting the streets around the Castle is also a beautiful walk !

“nice view of the city and very interesting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2013

It was a very interesting historical site with a good view. There was also a nice place to get a snack and drink while peacocks strolled about.

“Lisbon Many Centuries Ago”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2013

ST George's Castle Is one of Lisbon most visited and most beautiful sites of the old town in one of it nicest hills. Great views to the river and to oldest part of the town. Also nice walks between narrow streets to get there, climbing from Sé or from Graça mirador.

“Stunning views and worth a brief hike”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2013 via mobile

Well worth the 7.50 euros each (our 6 yr old son was free) The views are incredible, the museum was ok but we don't love museums - artefacts from different ages were interesting but its small.Theres a nice wee cafe.I would visit as early as possible to avoid the coach loads though. Will definitely visit again. :)
