“Worth the trouble”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2013

I really REALLY wanted to see this so I took the ferry across the river and attempted to walk up the hill figuring - hey it's huge, I'll see it eventually. Wrong! It got dark before I found it. (It wasn't a total fail, however, as I walked right upon getting off the ferry and took some amazing photos of a charming old fishing village). On day two, i woke up early, took the ferry and then took a bus up the hill. The statue is cool to see and from the top, you have a pretty view of Lisbon. I took my time wandering down the hill and stumbled upon an amazing cafe nestled in the hills.

“A sight with a sight...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2013

The tour going across the Tejo is worth it alone; then comes a spectacluar view from across the river all over Lisbon. Most impressive! Use the time on the other side of the river to take a walk along the riverside; you can walk almost to the end of the river... With many nice surprises as you stroll along. All the time with Lisbon looking beautiful on the other side.

“Wait until you go to Rio :-)”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2012

Not sure what to say, it looked good from a distance but for all the fuss it took with the ferry ride, waiting for the bus, waiting for the lift, to see a concrete Jesus up close and personal not that exciting really and there are much better things to do in Lisbon. However, that said, I'm not religious, so maybe some people might find this a holy place to visit, for me it just appeared to be concrete guilt with good views of the city.

“Must visit in Lisbon !!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2012 via mobile

This is a must visit attraction in Lisbon. The statue itself is stunning and the view at the top is something you will never forget.

Its very easy to reach there and the total travelling time is around 30mins (silimiar to going to belem).

Take a ferry at cais do sodre (2.3 ? for a round trip) and take bus 101 up to the hill (1.9? for round trip and its not worth walking up as the slope is steep and you have to navigate your way up). The lift to the top of the statue is at 4 ? (its worth it).

“Takes time to get there but it's worth it”

Great views from the hills across the river and the statue itself looks stunning as well. It takes a while to get there but it's worth it.
